About the Opportunities
We have number of permanent and temporary opportunities within our finance team. Our finance team provide a wide range of support and services to both our internal teams and to our community. We have opportunities in the following areas:
Accounts Payable (AP)
Our AP team keep our suppliers happy to ensure they are paid accurately and on time. As a major stakeholder in the launch of procure to pay, this is a challenging but exciting time as we change the way we work. This area requires absolute attention to detail, you must be very process driven and have the ability to manage priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Rates & Revenue
Our rates and revenue team are responsible for all of the billing for Council; this includes rates and water billing, as well as sundry account invoicing and making sure these are paid to us on time! In this space, you must have strong attention to details and a high focus on customer service as this role regularly liaises with our community both on the telephone and via email.
This role is vital to maintain our financial registers, assist in the maintenance and update of our general ledgers and assist in the preparation of our operation plan. This is varied role supporting all areas of council. This is a full time, temporary (7 months) role covering a period of long service leave; to be successful in this area, you will have previous accounting experience and strong knowledge of financial systems (Authority an advantage).
