About the Role
In this role you will assist the Senior Stormwater Engineer in the planning, modeling and design of Council’s stormwater drainage network. You will provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, giving advice regarding stormwater for all aspects of the land development process and advice relating to stormwater maintenance activities undertaken by Council.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in all facets of drainage works including investigations, programming, design and providing technical advice. You will have strong communication skills and computer skills and have experience in engaging with customers and community stakeholders. A current driver’s license and White Card are also essential.
Desirable requirements include skills in standard hydraulic analysis modelling e.g. ILSAX, DRAINS, MUSIC and standard CAD software e.g. AUTOCAD / 12D and experience within Development Assessment, relevant legislation and/or Local Government.
This is a full time permanent role, with remuneration in the range of $83,055-$93,483 pa including allowances (depending on skills and experience) for a 35 hour week with access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy, plus 9.5% superannuation. A vehicle option will also be negotiated with the successful candidate.
